In the late 15th century, Angelo Barovier from Murano (Venice) invented an uncoloured and clear glass named 'cristallo'. In the early XVIth century, a new glassmaking style was developed: thin and transparent walls, rounded forms, baluster-node blown stems. The new Venetian glass enjoyed a rapid and vast success amongst the rich bourgeoisie and the nobility in Italy and all of Europe.

Designed from models of the late XVIth to early XVIIth timeframe, our stem glasses are classical glassware made 'façon de Venise' or Venetian way.
The shapes are harmonious and balanced. With a the thin bowl and hollow leg, the glasses are very light and refined.
